When I was on the market for a sturdy elliptical machine to add to my home fitness room, I found the StreetStrider Summit 8r. I was specifically looking for an exercise bike that was able to give me an upper body workout along with the lower body work most of us have come to expect from an elliptical machine. Its low impact on my joints, works out my body’s core, and also helps me with strength training. The workouts are as intense as I choose to make them and I love the overall versatility of its workout regime.

It’s one of the only indoor/outdoor elliptical cross trainers I came across while I was shopping for an elliptical machine, and unlike most stationary elliptical machines, the StreetStrider is able to adjust to my body’s movements and helps me keep proper, natural posture throughout my workout – keeping me safe and eliminating some of the strain that would come from conforming to the bike’s construction, rather than having it work with my body’s natural posture. The minimal physical stress that this exercise bike puts on you makes it ideal for anyone looking to get started on a new workout regime or on those getting started with a weight loss plan.

Being able to workout safely at home with the confidence that I can build muscle, strengthen my body’s core, and potentially lose weight without leaving the comfort of my home and paying a fitness center membership fee. I really love the ability to cross train – this elliptical machine allows me to get the benefits of jogging, cycling, and skiing all from just one machine. This keeps me from getting bored with my workout and keeps the variety that makes a good fitness plan easy to stick with.

I’m not a huge fan of gym memberships and don’t have a lot of space and money to buy a lot of equipment for my at home fitness room, so being able to find a single exercise machine that offers me this level of variety for my money is a huge savings and a very good value. Being able to stay fit is very important to me, but I love being able to do it on a budget and the affordability of the StreetStrider and the number of ways I can use it make it a very good fit for me. Ok, the cargo trike is probably sounding a bit too good, what with the folding trike benefits that it gives you, so what’s the downside of owning your own folding tricycle?

Well, the cargo trike basket probably doesn’t hold enough things to be able to rely on it to do a weekly shopping trip, but to be fair, you probably wouldn’t have the energy to ride it back home if you had that much shopping in it. The cargo trike is also pretty sturdily built, which shouldn’t be a bad thing, but it means that it can be a little heavy for some people to store away, which could be a slight negative for a folding trike.

On the plus side, though, it’s going to give you back a certain amount of freedom; it’s going to let you carry things around, without too much hassle; it looks far nicer than you’d expect a folding tricycle to look; and it has 6 speed gears, may be not essential for you, but isn’t it good to know that something that many people would see as being for ‘old folk’, has been given enough respect to give you the ability to have 6 speeds?

So, should you be looking at getting yourself a folding trike? If you still like to get out and about, with some independence, with the ability to quickly and easily put your bike in the back of a car, then the cargo folding tricycle is going to be a good option for you. You may have to practice a bit with the folding and unfolding of the cargo trike, but you’ll get the hang of it soon enough, and the benefits that it gives you far outweigh any minor negatives that you may find with the cargo trike. I’ve been on the market for a sturdy electric tricycle for a few months now, a friend of mine has one that she just loves – it’s a small way to get some exercise and not have to drive everywhere, especially if you’re like me and live in a small town and live just a little ways from the stores and everything. The only problem is – I live too far for me to walk everyday but I hate starting the car to only go a mile or two round-trip. It’s a bit frustrating and my kids recommended I buy a bicycle, but it’s hard with my arthritis to get on and off the seat.

This combines all the elements that I need all at once. I like the basic structure of the Worksman cycles and this one offers a wide seat, which makes it very comfortable and you can go up to 15 miles between charges, not that I’ve tested it, but that’s what the paperwork says. I usually got 3-5 miles when I take it out, and I only drive once or twice a month in the summer and spring, when it’s warm enough to ride and I’m staying close to home, I just ride to where I need to go, it works out great for me.

I love being able to ride to a friend’s house or sometimes I ride down and see my grandson’s baseball game, it’s just a good way to get around for me. The electric trike also uses very little electricity, doesn’t make that much of a difference in my electric bill, which is a relief because it’s so hard living on a fixed income. The large basket on the back makes it easy to run to the store for a couple of items and drop off and pick up mail from my post office box. Being able to stay active and get fresh air really lifts my spirits and my friends might tease me for using an electric tricycle, but they have no idea how much fun it’s been for me this past summer.

My doctor has noticed that I’m doing much better than a lot of other people my age, and he says that if all his patients got as much fresh air as I do, he’d be out of business. I laughed and told him he better not recommend an electric trike to any of them. The great design of the worksman cycles, especially my tricycle, has made a pretty big change for me, I like that feeling of the wind through my hair, reminds of riding a bike down the country road near the farm I grew up on as a young girl. It’s amazing to have that feeling again.

The only small downside to this model that I’ve found is it’s a little heavy for me to lift when I want to take it somewhere, but, that’s really the only problem I have. Read more.

Great way to get around town!

The best feature of this trike is that it has a high seat compared to many other similar models. Using the higher seat makes it easier to get on and off for someone like me who is a bit older and has a hard time bending. While I was concerned with the cost of the TerraTrike Rover 8, I was looking for something with a few specific features like stability, maneuverability, portability, and, of course, I was also working with a budget.

The stability on this trike is probably the best of all in that price range and it has a weight capacity of 400 lbs. While that is a bit much for me, occasionally a friend of mine might borrow it for a weekend and he’s a bit bigger than I am, so it comes in handy. The lifetime warranty was a must for me, I don’t want to be throwing my money away on something that isn’t what I’m looking for and won’t be working for me for years to come. I’ve got a lot of miles left on my tires and I need a trike that was built with that same attitude.

I drive a simple 4-door sedan and being able to take the trike with me when I leave for a long weekend is great, it folds up easy enough and I like being able to take it to a state park and enjoy riding on the trails and at this time of year, the weather is perfect for a ride and the scenery is stunning. There is nothing better than being outside in perfect weather, getting some exercise and enjoying a nice view.

I picked the Rover 8 Trike for how high the seat sits from the ground – rather than being less than 10” off the ground like most trikes, this one has the seat 18” from the ground – it’s much easier on the knees, which is a huge bonus for me. The other main reason is the 8 speed makes it easy for me to adjust how hard I want to work to get moving – some days I really want to push myself, other days I want and slow and leisurely ride that lasts for hours. The adjustability of the speeds is great and when you come to a stop, it’s easy to change gears.

The seat is very comfortable, it allows you to relax and has decent support – you don’t feel like you’re hanging off the seat or constantly shifting to get comfortable. It’s a very smooth ride, very stable, and at the lower range of what trikes like this run for, it’s a pretty decent bargain. Just because a child is immobilized and forced to spend the better part of their life in a wheelchair, doesn’t mean that they lose the sense of fun and adventure that in inherent in all little ones, yet there are precious few wheelchair options on the market that cater to that sense of childhood wonder. That may have changed with the release of the Invacare XLT JR., a recumbent style handcylce that adds a sporty sense of style that no standard wheelchair can match.
That’s not to say that the Invacare XLT JR. can only be used as a wheelchair option, as it’s also a fun excelerator handcyle that will appeal to all kids and is a perfect option for adults who already own the full sized version of the XLT, to share the joy of recumbent cycling with their kids.

I was an avid bicyclist, used to spend hours with my wife traveling the bike trails around our Midwest suburban home, it was a great way to unwind and enjoy a bit of nature during the spring, fall, and summer. When I was involved in an automobile accident a year ago – my cycling days came to an abrupt end, I was left paralyzed from the waist down and it’s taken me months, but I’ve been working to rebuild my muscle strength enough to workout. Not that I’ve needed to do any real fixing, it’s just a relief to know that I could if the occasion arises.

I never thought I’d be back on the trail, but there are more than a few trails near me that are wide enough to go out handcycling on. Being blessed with lots of bike trails and not wanting to miss out on the changing of the seasons, I’m back on the trails, getting fresh air and exercise, and I haven’t felt this good since the accident. I’m a definite glass is half full kind of person, so being able to get moving and stay active this was has been a tremendous help to me. Going for a quick ride with my handcycle, even to the store or to the neighbor’s is a nice way of giving me back my freedom.

This Dirt King Adult Dually Tricycle is a simple, basic model – perfect for getting some fresh air or riding down to the community center where I volunteer in the summer. I hate to drive and love being outdoors, so this lightweight adult tricycle is a fun option for me, weather permitting, of course. I used to ride my bike, but as I’ve gotten older, I don’t feel as confident on two wheels like I did when I was younger.

Some of my retiree friends have adult tricycles similar to this one, it’s a good way to get some exercise without putting a lot of stress on my joints. My knees aren’t in the best of shape, so a lot of walking can really have them aching. Living in a planned retirement community near a small shopping area, 6-7 months out of the year, I use my tricycle. My favorite feature of this is the smooth ride on all terrain – I’ve taken it on grass and gravel with no problems. A lot of the bigger adult trikes cannot handle going “off-road”.

Dirt King Tricycle comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame – which feels indestructible. My girlfriend actually borrowed this trike for an afternoon to see if her son, who has a moderate form of learning disability, would like it and he had so much fun. He doesn’t have good enough balance for a bike, so this tricycle was a real treat for him. I know I love having it when my grandkids come to spend the weekend with me and we can all go out together for an after dinner ride and grab an ice cream and enjoy being outdoors. I even ride with the kids to the park – they tease me because there is no slowing me down!

The adjustable seat and tilting handlebars made this adult trike very easy to find the right comfort level for me, I’m a bit short in the legs, so this feature really was a big benefit to me, I feel like a kid again, riding my Dirt King Trike everywhere, enjoying the summer and being able to get tons and tons of fresh air. It’s also a huge money saver – not driving the car everywhere, especially for all the little things errands like dropping something at the post office or visiting a friend.

The only drawback I can see to this adult three wheel bike is that it isn’t collapsible – it would be nice to take with me when I visit my kids for the weekend or want to go my favorite park in the next town, too far to ride, but it would be nice to have the option of portability. But, since I don’t head out there too often, it’s not a major inconvenience, just something that would’ve been nice to do once in a while. All said, Dirt King Adult Dually Tricycle is a comfortable ride and works great on nearly any terrain.

This trike has been a huge help for me – I work at mini-golf course and outdoor recreation area and it takes some time to get back and forth from one end of the park to the other. Having a trike that is motorized is extremely advantageous. You can also opt to peddle it, so you can exercise with it, too. Its lightweight – only 62 lbs. and very portable, so it’s easy to take with me on the weekends when I’m working.

The trike has a range of up to 30 miles, more than enough to accommodate the range I take it in, and it has a fold down basket in the back, which is great to carry a pair of bags in or just toss the golf balls I find into. I sometimes ride it to the store which is about ¾ mile down the road from my house. And since I live in a big neighborhood, I can even go from one end of the neighborhood to the other, since I have a couple of old friends about a ½ mile away.

It doesn’t take very long to charge the battery, even charging it doesn’t affect my electric bill that much. I haven’t needed to drive my car as much since I bought this, it’s really helped me get out and get some fresh air too. The wide seat makes it a very comfortable ride and when I need to go someplace close by, I can hop on this and get there. It has a throttle, not that I’ve used it much, but I figure having it is better than not having it when you need it.

The 24” wheels give the trike a lot of stability, makes it an easy on and off kind of thing. I like how sturdy it is, I really don’t have too many complaints with this model, the different speeds work wonders, but it could probably work just fine having 4 speeds rather than 6 speeds. It definitely has a smooth ride, probably a better ride on this than in my old Buick. Initially, I was concerned that people would find it funny, a grown man using a trike, but if anything, people ask me about it and want to know where they can find something similar. Even the friends across the neighborhood think it’s a great way to get around. Not only do I get out more now, I haven’t had to fill up my gas tank more than twice this summer. I was looking for a replacement to the bicycle I used to ride, it was such a convenient way to get to and from town during the summer and fall months. Riding a bicycle when wearing heavy glasses (bi-focals, strong prescription) isn’t ideal, I have been nervous about getting around my neighborhood. It’s a bit too much for an older retiree like me to manage – so I asked some friends at church and one of them recommended an adult tricycle.

This Port-o-Trike is a good option for me, it folds up easily enough for someone like me to manage, and I can even take it when I travel with my kids and grandkids. I can keep up with the grandkids when their riding their bikes and it gives us some time together as a family – the younger kids hang back with me and the teens ride ahead with their parents, it’s refreshing to be able to be part of the outing, even though I’m not as springy and light on my feet as I used to be.

The dimensions of the tricycle are great, the seat is about 26-28” from the ground, about 30” wide, and the handlebars are at about 36”, the height of the handlebars and the seat are adjustable, I lowered them to make it easier for me to get off the tricycle. The seat is very wide and comfortable, and the 20” wheels give it lots of stability. Having the basket on the back allows me to ride to the store now and then to take care of my errands and not have to bother my neighbors for a ride to the store or need to call my son to take me there.

Having a stable, comfortable trike like this has given me a small measure of my independence back, it’s hard not being able to drive and living about 6-8 blocks from where the nearest store is. Being able to ride there is a fun experience on a cool summer morning, it reminds me of my youth, riding my bike into town with my brothers and riding just about everywhere there was pavement. I never thought I’d be back on three wheels, but I just love the comfortable ride and not having to worry about losing my balance.

My only complaints about this tricycle is how small the basket is on the back – I’m thinking of finding a larger basket to make my store trips count for more and the other complaint is that the single speed can be a little slow at times. Not that I’m a spring chicken, but maybe if I oil it a bit more, it’ll move a little faster. It’s worth a try, not sure if the speed is a reflection of the trike or the rider. This is a good 3-wheeled scooter and what has impressed me most about this model is how easy it is to handle. It’s been more than a few years since I’ve tried riding a bike or a scooter – and this electric mobility scooter makes me feel like a kid again. The turning radius takes a bit to get used to, but I love how sporty this is compared to a powered wheelchair, it’s fast and it’s a lot of fun to use.

I live near a park with tons of paved trails, so in good weather, I like to take this out a couple of times a week to get some fresh air and just enough the scenery. If you live where you have lots of access to trails, this is a great investment – it gets you back outdoors and enjoying nature, which can be tricky for some of us older folks. I know I don’t have the stamina to do all the walking that I used to, but being able to go for a ride on my fast charging X-treme scooter makes being outdoors easy and accessible for me.

I love that it as a long range – 15-20 miles per charge and it’s completely street legal, so I occasionally take it into the downtown part of my city – and it works out great – no hassles for parking (or paying for parking) and I can navigate the one way streets fast. The hydraulic shocks and large, comfortable seat make this a very smooth ride, never thought I’d have so much fun riding an electric mobility scooter – it really brings me back to my younger days.

This model is able to hold up to 350 pounds, not that I needed one that sturdy, but I do like the solidness of this model. Knowing that it can easily take a larger person is nice, I have let my brother borrow it when he comes for a visit and knowing that it can take his weight is a relief. This 3 wheel scooter can go everywhere a car can go (except the interstates, which is fine – I don’t use them anyway) and it makes a short trip into town quick and easy.

The most useful feature it has for me is the generous sized basket on the back – perfectly sized to throw a couple of books for the library, a bag or two of groceries, and my mail in. I purchased this Worksman tricycle for my daughter who has special needs and has problem balancing the two wheels. We love it and it works very well for her. The Worksman Port-o-Trike comes with a three speed gear shifter and folding feature. It also has a large rear basket which comes in handy for carrying water bottles, groceries or even a Yorkshire Terrier.

Unlike other adult tricycles which were so bulky, took up a lot of space in garage and changing the gear was always an adventure, Worksman tricycle seems handle the jobs pretty well. My daughter just sat down, started pedalling, and boom! She was riding her Worksman tricycle on her own and running around. I think for a learner, a one-speed is fine. You don’t need any distractions. But I wanted my daughter to have a three-speed so that she won’t have much trouble on hills and could enjoy a comfortable riding experience. And thanks to the folding feature, the Port-o-Trike fitted in the back of my car nicely, which is a big advantage to me.

The assembly part was okay. We don’t encounter much trouble on it. But I would advise you to clean all parts prior to the assembly, then wipe all blank metal parts with a silicone-oil-soaked tissue so the bike will not get rusty. These will more or less help to keep the Worksman tricycle for a longer lifespan.

Another tip is on how to ride a trike. Unlike normal bike, dealing with turns may go against your instincts at first. The way you lean in a turn on a bike would probably tip you over on a trike and vice versa. So if you are new to tricycle riding, you should pay a little bit more attention on this.

I bought this Triton Ultimate Cruiser for my niece Steph last Christmas and she is extremely happy about it. Great Design

The main thing I love about Triton Ultimate is on the design. The outlook is very stylish and the whole body was painted beautifully. The frame is solid built and adjustable. I found this feature very functional as it make the Triton Ultimate not restricted to kid rider only but also could be ride by an adult. Unlike other ordinary tricycles, the Triton does not come with messy chain. The design is plain unique and simple.

Easy to Assemble

The assembly part was easy. It does not take too much of trouble to put them on. Even a housewife like me who does not have any mechanical knowledge on bicycle or tricycle can get them done within minutes.

Comfortable

I always found a recumbent bike is much more comfortable compare to ordinary upright bicycle. The Triton Ultimate Cruiser is very comfortable to sit and ride. It doesn’t hurt my back or butt like other bicycle do. I can pedal while sitting down with my back fully supported. The ride is so much fun and it made me feel like a little kid again!

Some Drawbacks

Although the Triton Ultimate Cruiser is like a fun little machine to me, it does come with some drawbacks. First of all, it is on the speed. The Triton doesn’t go very fast and it reaches the maximum speed pretty quickly. So it is more for a leisure riding than a serious workout exercise. Also, I found the Triton does not do well on hills. Its design and tires are more suitable for flat surfaces.

I will admit it. I don’t know bike tools from trike jewels. My idea of repairing something is to call a local repairman. I am about as uncoordinated as anyone could possibly be. But I do like my bicycle. There are days when I bicycle twenty miles or more. Being nearly seventy years old, this is no simple feat, but I’ve been doing it since I was six years old, when I got my first two wheeler.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided that I really wanted to push myself. I decided to bicycle from my home in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the capital, Boston. That’s a good forty, maybe fifty miles, but it was a beautiful fall day. It couldn’t have been over sixty degrees.

I got all my gear together, and took off. Everything was going great until the inevitable happened. Rear tire. Flat as could be. Oh well, I’ve dealt with that a thousand times before. I always carry tools, a pump, and tire patches.

I pulled over and opened up my pannier. There was my pump that I bought in 1998. It hasn’t failed me yet. And fortunately, I had just bought a new pack of patches. But where was my wrench? Oh no! I had left it on my kitchen counter when I had tried to repair the leaking kitchen faucet. So what do I do now?

I started walking. I must have walked at least six miles. But like a mirage, I saw it. A bicycle shop! They had to have wrenches. I walked in, and even thought about getting rid of old Betsey, and getting a new bicycle. No, she’s been with me too long. All I needed was a wrench, and I could be on my way.

The bike comes well packed in the box. (about 51″ long, 30″ high, and 11″ thick) Good thing most of it is already assembled.. such as the brakes and gear/sprockets.

The wheels and tubes are common 26″ – already assembled, but you may have to put some air in the tires (40 to 65 psi) using a bicycle pump.

There is not a specific manual included with the bike as of now Feb, 2008. They do include a basic Schwinn manual and a paper with some instructions. Be careful opening the box.. check for loose screws in the bottom, etc. For missing screws/nuts/washers, you can get them for a few cents at your local hardware store.

Here’s what you will have to assemble (may be someone can assist you; may be even a fee under $20 if necessary):

Have some wrenches and socket wrenches available. A cresent-adjustable wrench is good to have. A typical cross tipped screwdriver.

You will have to put the handlebars on..I think its a 5mm allen/hex wrench. Also check the Schwinn manual that comes with the bike. It has some information about bike assembly, but not specificaly for the 3-wheel bikes.

You will also have to put the “rear wheel assembly/axel” on. For this, there are 2 bolts and nuts/washers that hold it on each side. I have the nuts facing outwards for easier access. They are square near the end and will go into a square hole or cut out in the bike frame. Putting these bolts on is a bit difficult at first, but once you have done it, its basically easily.

The small chain. Caution, don’t loose the parts when you take them out of the bag. There is a piece of chain and a flat “spring clamp” piece that will hold that piece of chain in place.

The front and rear wheels. The front wheel’s axel is typical of any bike and is different than the rear wheels. The front wheel is easily removable with a “lever clamp” fastener. For the rear wheels, the right side axel is shaped like a “D” (not round) and will only take the corresponding wheel with the “D” axel area. The other rear wheel has only the special bearings for its axel and no “D” area.

You may have to adjust the break pads/shoes so that they are in the center of the rim area and are not hitting the rim as you ride.

The pedals. Note, one pedal goes on clockwise, and the other pedal goes on counter-clockwise.

The seat. The seat is good for most, but some larger adults claim a bigger seat would be good. I think there is bigger seats at K-mart or online. One is basically a large semi-hard plastic seat.

The wheel fenders.

The basket (weighs about 10 lbs). Often the store/internet images show a silver looking basket…but usually you get a black painted one so it does not rust. If someone has weak legs then you can probably keep the basket off initially.

We put a small light in the front. Its held on by two pipe/band clamps…one within the other. One is around the handlebars..and the one around the flashlight goes through the one on the handlebars.

We also put a rear flashing/reflector on.

You should get a bike lock.. or 2 if they are short, that you can connect together. If you cannot find an object to lock it near, then place the chain/locks through the front sprocket gear or pedals if you dont expect to be away from the bike long.

The back end of the bike is somewhat heavy, may be 40lbs. The front is light and can be picked up if necessary to move the bike around.

When riding a heavy bike its more difficult to begin pedaling, but once your moving about 2 miles per hour, the bike almost pushes itself. We found to help you ride the bike: when you turn right, lean right, and when you turn left, lean left. In short, lean the direction you are turning, since this will essentially force your weight into/against the seat and provide increased stability. If you lean the wrong way, you may tip over, especially if your on a hill.

The bike is a “one-gear” bike, similar to the 20″ inch std. bikes. It’s good for flat terrain, and some occasional slightly inclined hills.

When a person with limited riding skills is on the bike, it is best that an adult supervisor be present (ie. walking along side the bike area). Try to keep on the right side of the road. For busy roads, get off the bike and walk it across; usually with one hand held at the “straight” part of the handlebars. Try not to ride on main or busy roads; find a route or area with minimal auto-traffic. Try not to ride in the rain or wet roads. Parts can rust and get muddy.

I purchased my Triton Pro Ultimate online not too long ago and I’m very happy with this nice little machine. I always have problems balancing on a traditional two-wheeled bicycle. Due to my fear of falling, I decided to buy an adult tricycle instead; but I wanted something better looking than an old grandma-style three-wheeled bike. So my husband suggested that we go ahead with Triton Pro.

Love At First Sight!

The moment we finished the assembly, it was love at first sight! This adult trike is such a cool looking machine! It provides a fun and comfortable ride. The design is great and simple: simple steering mechanism, no messy chain, comfortable seat and adjustable length, which means you can actually share the Triton Pro with your kids as well. The assembly is easy— we were able to get it done quickly, using the assembly instructions and with the included tools.

Extremely Comfort and Easy

I always have problems with my knees and can’t do aggressive workouts or traditional cycling. The Triton Pro is just nice to me. It gives me a very comfortable, easy and stable ride. The pressure in my joints is not as hard as on a stationary bike, and it gives me a great lower body workout without any strain on my back. Love it!

Although I found the price a little bit high, with all the great features of this adult trike, I would definitely recommend Triton Pro to everybody. It’s a good buy. Read more user reviews.

I love this thing. I bought it mainly for my son who is moderately disabled, as he has trouble with balance on a two wheeler, even with training wheels. This is perfect for him. As for riding on inclines, I ride it uphill (small, long hills), though I do have to take frequent breaks, but that’s the fun of it. I’m getting my body back into shape after years of no exercise! When I get off this thing, I’m exhausted, and my legs feel like jello, but OMG…what a workout! The side to side motion trying to get it uphill should give me some rippin’ abs this summer, and my legs should be incredible, as well! This triton is FANTASTIC! I bought one for my 9-year-old niece on her birthday and she LOVES IT! She is the HIT of the neighborhood. All of the kids come over to the house to take rides on the triton. They love the unique steering and adjustable length that makes it fun and functional. Now, instead of sitting in front of the TV playing video games, she is outside with her friends, having fun and exercising on her new triton three-wheeler! I am truly pleased with my purchase. I just can’t balance on a two-wheel bike, even with lots of practice. After doing some research on adult tricycles for a budget of less than $300, I got myself a Westport Adult Folding Tricycle by Kent International. Personally, I don’t really care about the look of a trike, as long as it is stable and safe to ride. I also prefer a folding trike for storage convenience.

Cute Little Trike

When I was first planning to purchase a tricycle, I was looking at another model, the Schwinn Meridian Tricycle. This trike comes with 26” wheels, which I thought might be too large for me (I’m quite petite). Westport Adult Folding Tricycle seems to suit my needs. It’s built with 20” wheels and much lower stepovers, a rear basket, and its most important feature: it’s a folding trike!

Excellent Engineering Design

One of the main things I love about this adult folding tricycle is its well-engineered design. This trike was built with a strong steel frame and a suspension fork that cushions the ride when you encounter bumps. With its extra-wide adjustable seat, I can cycle in the most comfortable position and enjoy the wind blowing on my face.

Folding Function

The Westport is designed with a folding mechanism for easy storage or transport. When I am not out enjoying a ride, I simply fold it up and keep it in a little corner of my garage. This unique design makes the Westport tricycle a very good choice for people who live in the city or in a tight space. Like other three-wheeled bikes, this trike is also built with a spacious basket. This is great for transporting my groceries, loading up with other stuff, or even carrying a small suitcase.

I’m an overweight adult looking to get into shape without killing myself in the process. I ordered this bike after doing a significant amount of web searching. Is it ever fun to ride! Now I look forward to coming home from work so I can hop on the bike and cruise around the neighborhood. I’m getting exercise, having fun and my dog comes along, too. Since this bike has no gears, I’m not flying down the road so the dog keeps up with me easily. The only improvement I can wish for is a three-speed. That would make hills a lot more do-able but hey, the idea is to get in shape.

The breaks work great and the basket is really roomy. I can ride down to the grocery store in my neighborhood and come home with three sacks of stuff, no prob. So this thing’s saving me gas money, getting my heart and knees strong, letting me feel the wind in my face and giving the dog a good walk all in one. A very good investment. My husband had it assembled in no time and it feels sturdy. Looks good, too. Many friends and neighbors have expressed bike envy. I was on the hunt for a decent three-wheeled bike. I’d been looking at several different options, and finally I bought this Schwinn Meridian Tricycle. I chose this adult trike because it has ample room in back for groceries. The folding rear basket is big enough to load a lot of stuff, and the wheels are 26”, which was my desired studded tire size.
